We started with an idea in 2009 and started doing business in 2010.
Our current team consists of Roxanne and Nileta managing everything and our paper- and product makers; Porcia, Yanelwa, Griet, Cecelia and Nkosikho – all members of the local community.
Our factory is situated at the foot of the Paardeberg, near Malmesbury.
We produce quality handmade products starting with the collecting of post consumer paper from a nearby school. We process this paper into pulp by adding only water. From this pulp our papermakers produce our handmade sheets. Our paper is air dried in an old attic.
All our paper is embedded with either flower or herb seeds and will grow as soon as you have planted it and with some caring attention.
We have 3 mixes of seeds in our paper:
Mixed flowers: Alyssum, Snapdragon
Indigenous flowers: Nemesia, Buck bay vygie, African Daisy
Herbs: Basil, Wild Rocket, Thyme
All our products are produced from our Growing Paper and are made by hand.
