This can be tricky, there are many aspects that need to be considered when printing on our paper – it’s alive and some inks, heat and moist caused by certain printer processes have an effect on the germination result, which is why we offer this service in-house. If you would like to try and print on Growing Paper yourself, we do suggest that you first purchase a few sheets to test printing on it. You have to make use of an inkjet printer that feeds from the top. Our paper can’t be printed with offset and laser techniques. The seeds are usually squashed and destroyed in this case. Another challenge with commercial printing on Growing Paper is that the seeds, as well as the paper “dust” also damage the printers.
Because of the nature of the papermaking process our paper may have slight variations in thickness between sheets.
