Growing Paper is always striving to recycle more and operate in a greener, cleaner way. During our process of turning office paper into our signature seed paper, we produce waste pulp.
Until now, this pulp has been used to feed our army of earthworms. While they do an excellent job of transforming it into nutrient-rich vermicompost, they simply can’t keep up with the volume.
After some research, we discovered papercrete, a material made from paper pulp and cement that can be used for a variety of applications.
That’s when our Eco-Friendly Desk Planter Corporate Gift was born, and we absolutely love it. All of our papercrete planter prototypes have found a home on our own windowsills, where they’re busy growing flowers, herbs, and whatever else we’re currently testing.
